Hello

Okay, so I just read the Salt Lake Tribune that says we have a lot of mommy bloggers in this state (Utah) and so here I am too. My name is Jenn Whitehead. I am a married mom of three. I have a 4 month old girl (Julia) a six year old girl (Jessica "Jessie") and an 8 year old son (Jacob)..I would include my husband in this list of kids, but that would embarrass him! I live in Bluffdale Utah and work at 2 local hospitals in their newborn ICU. I am the only physician assistant in a group of 40 plus neonatal NP's, which isn't surprising since I seem to make a habit of being a zebra in sheep's clothing everywhere that I go. My blog is called "Jaypent" because there are 5 "J's" in our family (pent) and we all have pent up emotions, especially me! I mostly have hangups with being a " recovering Mormon" living in an ultra conservative suburb of Salt Lake City Utah.. Yes I live near a polygamous compound. Yes I live near a prison. Yes I live in a neighborhood that is about 95% Mormon and right wing republican, and yes there is no herd immunity in our community because the people that live near me prefer to give their kids Xango juice and Mona Vie instead of immunizing them... But I love where I live because of it's natural beauty near the Jordan River, and because I love socializing with people that I disagree with most of the time! I just taught CPR and first aid skills to the boy scouts at the local Ward because that is where the boy scouts meet here in Utah. When I was doing chest compressions on my daughters baby dolls, I was suddenly very aware of the cleavage hanging out of my shirt while 8 year old boys and their scout leader were staring at me! I quickly adjusted my shirt and the leaders looked away, while the kids stared on.. Well, my 4 month old baby wants one of those breasts now and I have to go. TTFN!
